First Trailer for Ben Wheatley's Horror Comedy 'Sightseers'

Image

Are you ready for more wacky horror from the mind of the man behind Kill List? The next film directed by director Ben Wheatley is called Sightseers, a dark "horror" comedy about two young lovers, played by Alice Lowe and Steve Oram (who also wrote the film), who take a caravanning holiday around the British Isles. Sounds delightful, doesn't it? Oh but there's so much more to this, and it's oh so much fun. This film debuted in Cannes, and now it's getting a UK release first, and The Guardian has debuted the trailer. It's devious, dark fun!

Synopsis
Chris (Steve Oram) wants to show introverted dog-lover Tina (Alice Lowe) his world and he wants to do it his way: on a journey through the British Isles in his beloved Abbey Oxford caravan. Erotic odyssey... Killing spree... Caravanning holiday... The trip taken by Tina and Chris in this is these things and more.

Sightseers is directed by up-and-coming British filmmaker Ben Wheatley, of the horror films Down Terrace and Kill List previously. The screenplay was written by the film's two co-stars, Alice Lowe & Steve Oram. The first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this summer and is also playing at TIFF this fall. IFC Films will be releasing Sightseers in the US, but hasn't set an official US release date yet.
