Mondo Sexxxx: the Terry Kobrah Story Review

Film Synopsis:
Introducing Terry Kobrah...a man whose morals and general actions were extremely absurd to say the least. This docu/dark comedy looks back on his life after 'the accident' at an Acid factory which confined him to a wheelchair, mostly... and gave him a new perspective on life. Exposing the outside world to his past exploits, including his adopted 'family' of Gimps, mondo bitches, family life, his obsession with cats, kidnapping women, his sex complex, life as a child, and the 'Everyman theatre' a pervert sex show which gathered a cult following and put him in a position where he felt on top of the world until the theatre was shut down and he was diagnosed HIV positive...Includes interviews of past family members, fans, personal friends, and even Terry himself moments before his death.

The Terry Kobrah Story documents the rise and fall of a crazed small town theatrical director. Set in a small Appalachian town, Terry's transformation from star business man to cripple to director to corpse is told through a darkly comedic lens. Though presented as a biopic, Mondo Sexxxx incorporates several sub-genres, such as exploitation and farce, to create the diseased atmosphere which Terry inhabits.

Review:

Recently I received a copy of the Film in my mail box, and seeing the trailer prior to watching it, I knew I was in for some twisted shit! In the beginning, I thought to myself "Really? are you really going to watch the whole thing?" I mean 15 minutes into it, and already, I was having that sick to my stomach feeling. I even tweeted a message "I am watching the most deranged insane movie I have ever seen. Wow" while watching it.

But what makes this movie so insane and sick? Could it be the rape? the sadomasochism? the violence? or how about the Shit and Piss!?

Logan Meyers holds back nothing on this one. Though the acting was only sub par, it's whats expected on a $1000 budget. At times I found myself laughing hysterically. Yes this is quite the funny flick! One liners and well.... just demented funny shit!

Is it a movie I see myself watching over and over? I doubt it..unless I feel the need to vomit to get rid of a bad hangover. Don't get me wrong, some people will stay far from a film like this, but others will be drawn in by its demented and disturbing nature. I watched the film from beginning to end, and as sadistic as it was, it kept me watching, wondering what the fuck I was in for next! If you liked A Serbian Film then this is right up your alley!

In Closing I will say this: Hats off to Logan Meyers for going against the norm. Not every director would have the balls to make a film like this and be so ever proud of it! This review ends with me chanting "Shit and Piss....Shit and Piss" (Check out the film to see what I am chanting about!)
