Possibly the most anticipated Album of the decade, Q Strange releases a monster upon hardcore underground fans. And although it doesn't officially release until January 3rd 2012, Kap of Mortal Gore has been fortunate to receive an advance copy.

Those unfamiliar with Q Strange, I will break it down for ya. But before that you need to get the fuck out of your closet and open your eyes and ears. It would be hard to call yourself a fan of underground hip hop or horrorcore without ever hearing of Q Strange.

Biography

"Q recorded Murder Kill in ‘97 and locally released a bootleg tape with a dark hip-hop sound and graphic horror subject matter that garnered a huge response from a diverse group of music fans. As word of mouth spread, some fans in the midwest dedicated a website to Q Strange introducing him to the world. In 1999 Q released another bootleg entitled “Decayed Thoughts” which was well received and earned him enough money to release his professional debut “Creation to ExeQtion” in 2000. The concept album which was an audio horror “movie” with each song connecting to the next.. telling a chilling sci-fi horror tale of a deranged serial killer developed a cult following and soon Q Strange was known all over the globe as the next big thing in the dark underworld of horrorcore.

In 2003 after several deals gone bad with different record labels Q independently released his second album “Strangeland”. This album brought the murderous style that his fans had come to know by now, but also balanced out with more “traditional” hip-hop songs and emotional tracks proving that there was more to Q Strange than just a gimmick. Both albums moved thousands of units with no distribution outside of mail order and consignment deals with various merchants, and was widely bootlegged all over the world. That in addition to extreme high energy live shows earned Q a huge fanbase. The Qurrupted!!"

While years passed, Q was anything but forgotten. Dropping Cutting Room Floor, Happy Horrordayz, Rare Cuts 1 & 2, and appeared on Tunnel Runners, collabs and other projects. Remaining one of the most influential artist in the underground.

And here we are in 2011, and Q Strange is back with a vengeance reclaiming the "Strangeland" title with Return to Strangeland mixtape. The Qurrupted were once again amazed by the raw talent in which Q delivers.

Q Strange has made it very clear, that Scumbag Superstar is an album which shows how he has grown with the music industry through his likes and dislikes.

Here is What Q Strange had to say about the Release:

"After a long absence in the game due to personal drama and a distaste for the music industry in general, I've decided to return to the mic in a big way. The new album is called Scumbag Superstar and so far its the best work I've done to date. its a whole new Q a whole new sound, and its gonna be the one to set it off. musically its a whole new level. big budget Q this time, no shortcuts. I'm putting everything I've ever saved up for this thing because i have that much faith in it. Musically its like a bunch of different vibes here, all different kinds of musical influences on the tracks but all about things all of us can relate to in our lives.its like an audio version of a prison riot..you got all different kinds of low lifes in there destroying everything. southern thugs, country white boys, inner city slum dogs, bikers, trailer trash, gangsters, hustlers, and everyday pieces of shit with one goal. to FUCK SHIT UP....ya know..without the all male shower rape tho. its on some real shit. if you a low life, a scumbag, a regular ass person who cant relate to what the fuck these rappers out here are spitting than you will relate to these tracks. no Bentley's, no throwing money around, no poppin botts in the club. fuck all that. if your waiting for me to return with a horrorcore masterpiece than you may be disappointed. if you were on my old school shit back in the day and now its been several years and your grown now..you will love this shit cause i grew with you. someday i might give you that, but right now my spirit is screaming at me to do what im doing. dont get it twisted though it aint no soft shit, hard ass rap about real life shit that we all do. and genuinely great fucking music. i promise you will not be disappointed in what im about to unleash real soon."

And real soon has finally come!! Today I received the full album, and I have listened to it not once, but 3 times now.. and by the time you read this, I will have listened to it many more times.

So Here is my review:

One thing about listening to the old Q Strange albums, they were something you could feel through each and every word to the background beats that thumped. This album is no different, you will feel it. You will relate to it. You will love each and every second of it. Even as a hardcore horrorcore fan and artist,I love this album. I respect this album. And I believe each and everyone of you will too. How do you pick a favorite track when every track is that damn good!? How do you write a track by track review, knowing every track review will be the same? I won't. Every track is amazing! Some actually sent chills up my spine, some had my bobbin my head so hard I think I fucked up my neck...

So I will leave you with this. If you haven't bought this cd yet..GO BUY IT! And when you get it, grab a 40oz of cheap malt liquor and bump the fuck out of this. Then go grab your sister's best friend and play it for her. Then go for the 2 finger fuck fest. Indeed.. you will realize there is a Scumbag Superstar in all of us.

Fuck Q Strange and his faggots!

"After a long absence in the game due to personal drama and a distaste for the music industry in general, I've decided to return to the mic in a big way." Okay, he's a scumbag; not a superstar. I have gave this Q Strange some of my time, and he just totally isn't worth it. And the rapper Tech 9 created Strangeland, so wtf? Person who wrote this review should kill himself, "This album is no different, you will feel it. You will relate to it. You will love each and every second of it." Guess I'm not one of the faggots who buys in to this shit.

Waiting on my pre-order

Waiting on my pre-order package as we speak. Normally I'd never pre-order an album that was a "changing up my style" type of album, but Q's so damn good I doubt I'll regret it.
